Rules

  1. Query one agent at a time.
  2. Do not query multiple Weissman Goldberg agents simultaneously.
  3. If an agent passes, you may not re-query another agent with the same project unless invited.
  4. If you have revised substantially, wait at least six months before re-querying.
  5. Do not send attachments unless requested by the form.
  6. Do not use the contact form for submissions.
  7. Do not send AI-generated or substantially AI-assisted material without disclosure.

What to submit

Include a query letter, book title, category or genre, word count, short synopsis, comparable titles if helpful, and prior submission disclosure. Fiction, memoir, and narrative nonfiction should include the first 10 pages or first chapter. Proposal-driven nonfiction should include a concise overview, audience, platform, chapter outline, and sample material. Children's and young adult projects should identify age range and format; illustrated projects may include one sample PDF or dummy when relevant.

Formatting

Please upload one document only unless an agent specifically requests otherwise. Accepted file types are .doc, .docx, .pdf, and .rtf. Files must be under 5 MB. Standard manuscript formatting is preferred: readable 12-point font, double spacing for prose, and numbered pages. Picture book texts, poetry, graphic, and illustrated projects are considered selectively by agents whose profiles specifically invite them.

How to submit

Form only. We do not publish a query email address, and queries sent through the contact form will not be reviewed.

Response policy

We aim to review queries within 8-12 weeks. If you have not heard from us after 12 weeks, you may consider it a pass unless the submission status page indicates otherwise.

Accessibility note

If the submission portal creates an accessibility barrier, please contact us through the accessibility request path listed on this page. Accessibility requests are not treated as general query submissions.
